We would like to acknowledge that this land was never ceded and always was and always will be aboriginal land.

Sustainability

Our promise to nature and the land we guest upon

Essential to the Resorts conservation vision are initiatives designed to preserve the Kondalilla National Parks rainforest environment and waterfalls, to maximise recycling and eliminate single use plastics and to conserve energy via smart technologies including LED lights and water-conserving bathroom fittings.

Charity support

Kondalilla Eco Resort supports a variety of charities and initiatives, both local and further afield. Two of our main sponsors are WILVOS (Wildlife Volunteers Association Inc.) and Barung Landcare. Both of whom do amazing work in the community.

WILVOS

WILVOS (Wildlife Volunteers Association Inc.) is a long-standing wildlife rescue and rehabilitation group based on the Sunshine Coast. For over three decades, they’ve been dedicated to helping injured, orphaned, and displaced native animals, providing care with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. Operating a 24/7 rescue hotline, WILVOS responds to thousands of calls each year and works closely with local vets, wildlife hospitals, and councils. Their passionate network of volunteers plays a vital role in everything from rescue missions to animal care, making a real difference in the lives of Australia’s unique wildlife.

Barung Landcare

Barung Landcare is a community-driven organisation committed to protecting and restoring the natural environment of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. With a strong focus on sustainable land management, they work alongside landholders, volunteers, and local communities to regenerate native habitats, support biodiversity, and tackle environmental challenges. Their initiatives include native plant nurseries, educational programs, and on-ground restoration projects that empower people to care for the land. Barung’s hands-on approach and deep local knowledge make them a vital force in preserving the ecological health and beauty of the region for generations to come.
